The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Program offers an integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) residency program. This is a six-year ACGME-accredited training program that consists of 1 year of surgical internship, 3 years of Diagnostic Radiology training, and 2 years of Interventional Radiology training. Graduates from this program are eligible to take the Diagnostic Radiology-Interventional Radiology (DR-IR) examination provided by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) to practice in both diagnostic and interventional radiology.
