The UTRGV Urology Residency Program at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance is the first surgical subspecialty training program in the region. Located in the culturally rich Rio Grande Valley, the program aims to train a diverse group of board-eligible surgeons in all aspects of urology. Residents will have the opportunity to participate in research and quality improvement projects, clinical teaching, and didactic activities to develop a strong foundation in clinical skills. The dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating a safe learning environment using evidence-based medicine to prepare residents for successful careers in urology. Program Director Gaudencio Olgin, MD welcomes applicants to be part of shaping the history of healthcare in South Texas through this residency program.
