Long Island College Hospital Program

The Allergy and Immunology Fellowship program at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine provides two years of high-quality training in allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology. Jointly administered by the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics, the program offers fellows clinical experience at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, a World Allergy Organization Center of Excellence. The program focuses on a wide variety of allergic and immune disorders, including asthma, allergic rhinitis, and various drug allergies.

The fellowship aims to train physicians to become specialists in providing expert-level clinical care for both children and adults with allergy and immunology disorders. Fellows engage in patient care, didactics, and research throughout the program. Completion of the program prepares fellows for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) certification examination.

To be eligible for this fellowship, applicants must have completed at least three years of ACGME-accredited training in internal medicine, pediatrics, or a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency. The deadline for applications is August 15 each year. Required application materials include a medical school transcript, three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, CV, and USMLE Step scores.

The fellowship program offers a structured curriculum that includes clinical experience, didactic sessions, research opportunities, and elective rotations. Fellows are part of an interprofessional team and participate in various conferences and case discussions.
