Overlook Hospital Program

The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Atlantic Health System, based at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, and integrated with Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, is a four-year program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The program supports 20 residents in training, with five entering each year. Residents have the opportunity to participate in the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) program, with up to two residents selected internally in their R2 year for the interventional radiology (IR) weighted R4 year.

Residents at Atlantic Health System receive training on modern imaging equipment and benefit from a high volume of diverse cases across all subspecialties. The program boasts a high faculty-to-resident ratio, ensuring individual strengths and needs are addressed throughout training. Graduates have historically achieved high board pass rates and often pursue further specialty training in fellowships at renowned institutions.

Residents are encouraged to engage in research and have opportunities to present at national and international conferences. The program emphasizes providing residents with a comprehensive educational experience while supporting their professional and personal development.
