The Universidad Central del Caribe sponsors an Internal Medicine residency program based at the Dr. Ramon Ruiz Arnau University Hospital, which holds full accreditation from the ACGME.

To be eligible for this program, candidates must: - Be a graduate of an LCME or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited medical school. - Have passed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams, and preferably Step 2 CS. - Graduates of medical schools outside of Canada and the United States of America must possess a valid ECFMG certificate or have completed a Fifth Pathway in an LCME accredited medical school, in addition to passing USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams.

The application requirements include, but are not limited to: - Filling out the program's application form. - Submitting a photo (2X2), Curriculum Vitae, and Personal Statement. - Providing evidence of USMLE Step 1, Step 2, and other applicable scores. - Submitting an ECFMG certificate, if applicable. - Presenting at least two letters of recommendation from individuals in a supervisory role. - Providing a good conduct certificate from the local police office. - Submitting college and medical school transcripts, a copy of the medical diploma, and the Dean's letter. - Immigrants must show proof of permanency, as the program does not sponsor any type of visas.

Fluency in Spanish is a requisite for this program.
