The University of Hawaii Department of Psychiatry offers a comprehensive residency program designed to train well-rounded clinicians in clinical work, scholarly research, and community service. In addition to the general psychiatry program, the University of Hawaii Program also offers fellowship opportunities in addiction medicine, addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry.
The Department of Psychiatry is dedicated to providing UH-JABSOM medical students with high-quality psychiatric education through various levels of participation, including basic problem-based learning units, clinical skills preceptorships, clerkships, and fourth-year electives.
