The Harvard Radiation Oncology Residency Training Program (HROP) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a highly competitive program that participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The application requirements include a curriculum vitae, medical school transcripts, four letters of reference, and a personal statement explaining why you have chosen radiation oncology as your specialty. The program director and selection committee will thoroughly review all completed applications.
Interviews at Harvard Radiation Oncology Residency Program are by invitation only and will be conducted virtually. The program offers interviews to approximately 30 candidates, with six PGY-2 residents accepted per year through the NRMP. The deadline for receipt of all application materials is November 1st.
It is strongly encouraged for applicants to have a passing score on USMLE Steps 1 and 2, with Step 3 completion preferred before the beginning of residency. The program aims to recruit and train a diverse resident body and provides opportunities for cultural inclusion and learning from other cultures.
