The Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency Program at Northwestern University, part of McGaw Medical Center, is a renowned program known for its strong faculty, impressive residents, and balanced structure. International medical graduates must hold a valid ECFMG certificate, including a current and valid clinical skills assessment. Applicants must have passed Step 1 of the USMLE and have a current/valid English qualifying examination.
Residents of the Plastic Surgery program have the opportunity to engage in outpatient clinics, a required fully-funded research year, and diverse clinical experiences. The program is committed to academics and residents can participate in research within various areas of plastic surgery, including wound healing, craniofacial biology, and plastic surgery outcomes research.
