Rutgers Health/Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Program

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center provides a well-rounded educational experience in a clinically diverse, quaternary care, community-hospital setting with a strong university affiliation. Residents gain exposure to a mix of urban patients from the community and suburban ones, offering a broad cultural and clinical spectrum. The program aims to educate future internists to provide superior patient care and establish a solid foundation for subspecialists. Residents receive training in primary, subspecialty, and critical care medicine, along with exposure to clinical research. The application process is open to graduates of all U.S. and foreign medical schools, and applications are accepted through ERAS.
