Visa H1B, J1

The University of Washington School of Medicine offers an ACGME accredited five-year integrated residency program in Vascular Surgery. The program, directed by Dr. Elina Quiroga, focuses on providing comprehensive training in cutting-edge techniques through two training paradigms - the Vascular Integrated Residency (0+5) and the traditional fellowship (5+2). The program emphasizes a culture of diversity and inclusion and actively addresses healthcare inequities.

Training is conducted at four different hospitals, including Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center-Montlake, UW Medical Center-Northwest, and the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Residents and fellows are exposed to a wide range of vascular pathology, from complex aortic reconstruction to vascular trauma, peripheral surgery, venous work, and traditional open vascular surgery. Opportunities for research are also available, with residents presenting at local, regional, and national meetings.

The University of Washington School of Medicine program supports two candidates per year directly following medical school and conducts all interviews virtually.
