The Hematopathology Fellowship at West Virginia University is a one-year training program designed for medical professionals seeking advanced training in the field of hematopathology. Application Requirements

To be considered for the Hematopathology Fellowship, applicants must meet specific requirements. Firstly, candidates should be board-eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Furthermore, obtaining a West Virginia state medical license is a prerequisite for admission into the program. The fellowship will be part of the inaugural Hematopathology Fellowship NRMP Match for the 2026-2027 appointment year.

Applications are accepted anytime and should include the following materials: a National Standard Application (CAP), a statement of career objectives, three letters of recommendation (at least one from the current program director), a Medical School Diploma, an ECFMG Certificate, and USMLE Scores. Stipend Information

Interview Process

Interviews for the fellowship position will commence starting January 1st, 2025, as part of the matching process for the 2026-27 appointment year. It is important for applicants to register for the Pathology Fellowship Match in February 2025 with the NRMP.
