Dr. Peter Cruz-Gordillo, MD

I'm a physician-scientist (MD, PhD) currently a senior neurosurgical resident at OHSU after navigating an NIH-funded MD/PhD (MSTP) program for my undergraduate medical training. I have mentored pre-med, medical, and MD/PhD-track students on personal statements, research narratives, interview preparation, and overall application strategy for both medical school and residency match. Having mentored students through the Latino Medical Student Association, the Massachusetts Hispanic Medical Association, and research fellowship programs, I bring particular insight into the challenges facing first-generation, bilingual, and underrepresented applicants — informed by my own path growing up between Puerto Rico and Miami.
