This week, an unexpected PGY-1 Internal Medicine position has become available in our program due to a resident stepping away for personal reasons. Our leadership has allowed us residents to assist in the search for a suitable candidate to fill this role. We are seeking someone who can start within the next 6-8 weeks. We aim to find a quality candidate who is ready to engage immediately. As a current resident, I can attest to the excellent culture here. We have highly knowledgeable attendings and a supportive environment with no negativity. This is an unopposed program located in a community-based hospital. The variety of patient cases is good, and there is no competition for procedures or ICU beds; everything that comes in is yours to manage.
