The Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program atKaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC) is designed totrain the next generation of pulmonary and critical carespecialists who demonstrate compassionate, culturally sensitive,and evidence-based practices. Program Overview

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, the Kaiser Permanente LosAngeles Medical Center is a tertiary referral center and a 560-bedhospital that provides extensive care to KP members in SouthernCalifornia. The program operates within a supportive educationalenvironment, housing over 20 ACGME-accredited residency andfellowship programs and participating in clinical clerkshiptraining with respected medical schools such as UCLA and KeckUSC.1

Curriculum

The fellowship spans 36 months and includes at least 28 requiredclinical rotations, which encompass 11 ICU-based rotations, 11pulmonary-based rotations, and an additional 6 focused onprocedures and physiology. Approximately 70% of clinical time isspent at LAMC, while the remaining time occurs at Cedars-SinaiMedical Center (CSMC). The clinical rotations are structured toprovide comprehensive training in critical care.2

Fellows can also choose electives in various specialties,including Chest Radiology, Cardiac Echocardiography, andmore.2

The fellowship includes regular didactic lectures, caseconferences, and morbidity and mortality conferences to facilitateongoing education. Conferences address various topics in pulmonaryand critical care medicine to enhance fellows' learningexperiences.2
