The Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network is a 5-year ACGME-accredited program that combines 3 years of Diagnostic Radiology (DR) training with 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) training. Residents are exposed to a wide variety of cases, including loco-regional tumor therapy, vascular and nonvascular procedures, transplant and hepato-biliary interventions, venous reconstruction, and pediatric interventions. There is a strong emphasis on complete patient care through inpatient rounds, consultations, and an outpatient IR Clinic.
The program provides numerous research opportunities, with residents presenting their work at major radiology conferences such as SIR and RSNA. The faculty are actively involved in research and education, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for the residents. Residents have the opportunity for significant hands-on experience, performing cases one-on-one with attending physicians starting from their first day on the IR rotation.
The program director, Dr. Balasubramani Natarajan, welcomes applicants to explore the website for more information and encourages contacting the program coordinator for any further questions.
