Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program Overview

The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Mather Hospital offers an Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in interventional radiology. Since welcoming its first class on July 1, 2018, the program has focused on integrating rigorous clinical education with practical hands-on training, preparing residents for the challenges of the ever-evolving field of interventional radiology. Curriculum

The Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program offers sponsorship for J1 visas. International medical graduates preparing to apply must have ECFMG certification prior to starting the residency.

Competitiveness and Application Requirements

This residency program is competitive and seeks applicants who are motivated, patient-centered, and committed to quality healthcare. Review of applications considers entire backgrounds and qualifications, including board scores, community involvement, personal statements, and letters of recommendation. Candidates should have graduated from medical school within the last five years and there are no formal cutoff scores for exams; however, a competitive USMLE score is highly recommended. The average score of current interns is 228 on Step 1.
