The Selective Pathology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine focuses on Gastrointestinal Pathology and offers a one-year comprehensive training experience. Curriculum and Rotations

This extensive rotation schedule allows fellows to obtain a full understanding of the various gastroenterology practices. Additionally, fellows have the option to participate in a two-week rotation within the Gastroenterology Department to observe endoscopic procedures, including upper and lower endoscopies, and advanced techniques like endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).

Admissions and Eligibility

To be considered for the fellowship, candidates must be board certified or eligible for certification in anatomic pathology or a combined anatomic pathology and clinical pathology (AP/CP) program. The application process requires the submission of several materials, including a completed online House Staff Application, a current curriculum vitae, a personal statement, a transcript from medical school(s), and three recommendation letters. The fellowship has specific timelines, with applications accepted from July 1 to September 30 for positions beginning on July 1 the following year. Interviews are conducted from mid-August to the end of November.
