Dermatopathology Fellowship Program Overview

The Dermatopathology Fellowship Program at Cedars-Sinai is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship jointly offered by the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology. Training & Curriculum

Fellows will participate in daily consensus and clinicopathologic correlation conferences with faculty members and fellow trainees, facilitating active discussions and collaborative learning. The training schedule allows for exposure to ancillary studies like immunohistochemistry and molecular tests, including next-generation sequencing and comparative genomic hybridization. Application Information

Applicants must be board-eligible in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, or dermatology, and must obtain California licensure at the time of appointment. The application process includes submitting a completed fellowship application form, a current curriculum vitae, a statement of interest, three letters of reference (one from a residency program chair or director), USMLE scores, medical school transcripts, and, if applicable, an ECFMG certificate and California state license. A photograph is also encouraged.

The application window typically opens in mid-June, with interviews commencing in August. It is important to note that the fellowship program only accepts J-1 visas for international applicants.
