Dartmouth-Hitchcock/Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital Program

The Dartmouth-Hitchcock/Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital Radiology Residency Program aims to educate, guide, and mentor residents to develop interpretative skills and procedural expertise to become competent radiologists focusing on patient safety, compassion, and professionalism. The program integrates hands-on experience, PACS teaching, and core curriculum conferences covering various radiologic subspecialties. Residents have access to online learning tools and are supported to attend educational meetings and conferences. There is dedicated time for educational lectures, journal clubs, and research opportunities. Scholarly activities are encouraged, and residents can opt for research endeavors overseen by the resident research committee.

The program offers an integrated Interventional Radiology residency program and an independent IR residency program. It also provides opportunities for Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR).

Residents benefit from a diverse educational curriculum and have flexibility in their fourth year to pursue various training pathways, global health experiences, leadership/business education, and elective opportunities. The program emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and resident wellness.

If you are considering applying to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock/Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital Radiology Residency Program, please ensure to apply separately for the Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Interventional Radiology (IR) programs on ERAS. The DR program accepts 3 residents per year, while the IR program includes 2 Integrated and 1 Independent resident per year. The program uses the National Resident Matching Program for selection. Application deadlines are December 1st for DR and March 31st for IR Independent applicants. Application requirements include a completed application, medical school transcript, letters of recommendation, USMLE scores, and a personal statement.
