The Lahey Clinic Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is a four-year training program approved by the ACGME. It focuses on training residents to become confident and skilled radiologists. The residents benefit from collaborative working relationships with attendings and peers. The program provides an atmosphere conducive to intellectual and professional growth.
The program includes rotations in various subspecialties like thoracic, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and breast radiology, and offers an ESIR track. Residents undergo training in interpretation of all diagnostic imaging modalities, interventional procedures, and advanced subspecialty imaging. There are no fellows, except in interventional radiology and breast imaging.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center has advanced imaging technology, including multiple CT scanners, MRI scanners, PET-CT, and 3D mammography. The program also covers a broad spectrum of diagnostic studies, including state-of-the-art neurovascular, cardiac, and peripheral vascular imaging.
Residents participate in daily conferences, interdisciplinary conferences, journal clubs, and dedicated 3-D imaging training. The program also offers opportunities for research with support mechanisms for residents. Requirements for application include a personal statement, three letters of recommendation, transcripts, USMLE board scores, and a Dean’s letter.
The program accepts international graduates and supports J-1 Visas. The application deadline is November 1st. Interviews for the program are virtual, with details provided upon invitation. The program also offers a sponsored program for applicants with external funding.
