The Lahey Clinic Program for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residencies provides comprehensive education and training in a nurturing environment to produce caring and ethical plastic surgeons dedicated to superior healthcare. The program offers both an integrated and independent track, accepting one resident each per year.

Integrated Program: - Duration: Six years - Training Locations: Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital - Unique Experience: Rotations spanning various areas of plastic surgery - Educational Opportunities: Didactic lectures, operative experience, anatomical training - Emphasis: Major reconstruction, breast reconstruction, aesthetic and laser surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery

Independent Program: - Duration: Three years - Training Locations: Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, Boston Medical Center, Maine Medical Center - Emphasis: Hand surgery, microsurgery, reconstruction of head and neck cancer - Comprehensive Training: Focus on complex reconstructive problems - Experiential Learning: Exposure to private practice plastic surgery - Research Opportunities: Residents encouraged to engage in clinical and basic science research alongside attendings - Additional Learning Opportunities: Bi-monthly Journal Club, Cadaver Lab, Injectable Training Clinics

Application Requirements: - Independent Program: Completion of accredited programs in specific specialties (e.g., general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urology) - Integrated Program: Application through ERAS, NRMP, and PSCA - Interviews: Conducted in February/March for the Independent Program and December for the Integrated Program
