The Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) Dermatology Residency program provides a comprehensive training experience to become an expert dermatologist and prepares residents for clinical practice or fellowships. The training takes place in diverse settings with various clinical locations like EVMS Dermatology at Andrews Hall and Princess Anne, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, and Pariser Dermatology Specialists.

The program offers a competitive stipend with rates starting at $62,144.69 for PGY-1, $63,858.28 for PGY-2, and $65,568.45 for PGY-3. In terms of benefits, residents receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, group life insurance, long-term disability insurance, retirement plan options, short-term disability insurance, and educational leave, among others. EVMS ensures that residents have comprehensive support and coverage during their training.

The application process for the EVMS Dermatology Residency Program is conducted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS), and for the 2024 cycle, interviews will be conducted virtually. The program requires a complete application, including the ERAS application form, personal statement, dean's letter, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and passing scores on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2.
