National Capital Consortium Program

The National Capital Consortium (NCC) Dermatology Residency Program is located at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Maryland. This comprehensive training program is part of a major military medical center and emphasizes a well-rounded education in dermatology, preparing residents for a diverse range of clinical and procedural challenges.

During their training, residents have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including a newly expanded dermatology clinic that features a 1,835-square-foot Dermatology Graduate Medical Education (GME) suite. This space includes 18 resident carrels, a dermatology library, a large conference area, and essential equipment such as a 14-headed microscope with projection capability. The program benefits from a high faculty-to-trainee ratio, ensuring personalized mentorship and support for residents.

Residents rotate through various subspecialties including Dermatopathology, Pediatric Dermatology, and Procedural Dermatology. Dermatological Society.
