• Children’s Hospital: Offering specialized pediatric vascular surgery experiences.
• Private Hospital Settings: Residents benefit from exposure to private practice operations and additional case volumes.

This diverse rotation structure enables residents to encounter a substantial variety of vascular pathologies, contributing to a well-rounded training experience. Curriculum and Rotations

The residency is designed with an intense focus on developing comprehensive surgical skills. The first three years include rotations in general surgery, trauma surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and various surgical subspecialties. The final two years are dedicated primarily to vascular surgery, where residents assume greater responsibilities and lead services under faculty supervision. This model ensures that graduates are fully prepared for independent practice by the conclusion of their training.

Application Process

Applications for the residency program are accepted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The deadline for submission is November 1 each year. Required documents for application include:

Interviews are conducted by invitation only, typically in December and January.

Regarding competitiveness, the program is open to international medical graduates (IMGs) and does not impose a cut-off year for graduation. However, candidates are recommended to present a minimum USMLE score of 225 for both Step 1 and Step 2. A clinical experience in the United States for 2-3 years is also advised. Importantly, while the program does not sponsor visas directly, it does approve J1 visas sponsored by ECFMG.
