The Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program is highly competitive and designed to train future academic surgeons. As the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore offers a comprehensive five-year ACGME-accredited program across seven hospitals, including exposure to various clinical settings such as tertiary care and Level 1 trauma center.
With 10 categorical positions and approximately 74 trainees at a time, this program is one of the largest in the United States.
