The National Capital Consortium Diagnostic Radiology Residency program trains military radiologists from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. They offer state-of-the-art training in radiology and radiological sciences, wellness, and leadership skills. The program is the only tri-service diagnostic radiology residency within the Defense Health Agency.
Curriculum highlights include thirteen 4-week rotations per year, with PGY2 residents rotating through primary subspecialties twice a year. PGY3-5 residents have additional rotations in subspecialties such as Interventional Radiology, Pediatric Radiology, and Breast Imaging.
The program has a night float system for PGY3-5 residents and offers frequent conferences covering various radiology subspecialties, non-imaging skills, and military curricula. The faculty consists of military and civilian radiologists, many of whom are renowned experts in their fields. The program values involvement in various activities and offers protected time for research and professional development.
