Welcome to the Emergency Medicine residency program at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, an ACGME-accredited 3-year program located in Yonkers, New York, just North of Manhattan and situated along the scenic Hudson River. As the first and only Emergency Medicine residency program in Westchester County, the program provides a unique opportunity for residents to engage in high-quality training in a variety of clinical environments.

The residency program is designed to immerse residents in diverse clinical settings, allowing them to rotate across different Emergency Department styles ranging from small 5-bed community facilities to large 70+ bed urban tertiary care centers, such as Jacobi Medical Center and Mount Sinai Elmhurst Medical Center. This variety equips residents with exposure to a full spectrum of emergencies, thus ensuring they are well-prepared for any practice environment they choose to enter after graduation 1.
