Curriculum Structure

The multidisciplinary curriculum is structured over three years, allowing fellows to progressively take on increased responsibilities. During the first year, fellows will focus largely on inpatient consultations, while also gaining exposure to echocardiography and electrophysiology. They will participate in a cardiac surgical rotation and various cardiovascular specialty clinics. The second year reinforces these skills and introduces advanced heart failure service rotations. Fellowship Positions and Application Requirements

The program offers three fellowship positions, and applications must be submitted via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Key application components include completed ERAS applications, USMLE or COMLEX scores, a personal statement, and three letters of recommendation (including one from the residency Program Director and two faculty references). Notably, to qualify for this fellowship, the medical school must be recognized by the Medical Board of California. However, the program does not currently provide visa sponsorship for J1 or H1B visa types, making it less accessible for international graduates in that aspect.
