The University of Southern California/Los Angeles General Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program provides exceptional clinical opportunities to residents, helping them mature into excellent clinicians. Residents gain exposure to a wide scope of clinical pathology and have the opportunity to develop excellent diagnostic and management skills. The program boasts a diverse faculty engaged in various research programs, offering residents opportunities to participate in scientific investigations.

Application to the internal medicine residency program requires applying through ERAS. The program is only accepting USMLE scores, and international graduates are required to have valid ECFMG certificates and California eligibility letter. The program only accepts J-1 visas.

The curriculum includes inpatient and ambulatory care experiences, with a rotation schedule overview provided for each post-graduate year. Residents partake in various conferences, core lectures, simulations, and workshops to supplement their clinical training. The program provides access to advanced facilities such as Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC, and USC Norris Cancer Hospital.
