University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School Program

The Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin is a four-year program that provides comprehensive training in all fields of radiology. Residents work under the guidance of fellowship-trained faculty and benefit from a balanced mix of clinical responsibilities, didactic curriculum, case conferences, and teaching/research opportunities.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school and completed a qualified PGY-1 internship or preliminary residency. The application deadline is December 1, and the application must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Required documents include a photo, curriculum vitae, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, USMLE or COMLEX scores, Medical Student Performance Evaluation, and medical school transcript.

The curriculum for each year of the residency includes rotations in neuroradiology, gastrointestinal and genitourinary radiology, ultrasound, cardiothoracic radiology, molecular imaging, musculoskeletal radiology, pediatric radiology, breast imaging, interventional radiology, American Institute for Radiologic Pathology, and elective rotations.
