The Family Medicine Residency at McAllen Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), focuses on providing evidence-based primary care to patients of all ages in South Texas. International medical graduates must hold a current ECFMG certificate and meet eligibility for licensure in Texas.
The program offers 6 PGY1 positions each academic year. The application deadline is December 1, 2022, through ERAS. Interviews are held from late October through November. The curriculum spans three years and includes rotations in various specialties.
