Application Requirements

To apply for the Emergency Medicine Residency at UVMMC, candidates must submit applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Key requirements include a completed application, a personal statement, a curriculum vitae, and at least three letters of reference, including a Standardized Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) from an emergency medicine rotation.

It is a prerequisite for applicants to have passed USMLE Step 1 before applying and to have results for either USMLE Step 2 or COMLEX Level 2 completed by January 1. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must hold a J-1 Visa, possess a current ECFMG certification, and have graduated from medical school within the last two years.
