Program Overview

The Utah Valley Hospital Family Medicine Residency offers a fully accredited three-year family medicine residency program designed to immerse residents in a community hospital setting. Application Requirements

Applicants must meet specific criteria to be considered for the program, as follows:

• Applications are accepted solely through ERAS.
• Step 1 and Step 2 (including CS/PE) must be passed before the NRMP rank deadline.
• Applicants who have experienced more than a single failure on any USMLE or COMLEX exams will not be considered.
• Applicants must provide three letters of recommendation, including at least one from a family medicine practitioner.
• The program accepts only U.S. citizens or permanent residents, as visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Graduation from an LCME/AOA accredited medical school must occur within two years prior to application.
• Graduates from medical schools located outside the United States or Canada are ineligible.
• DOs must commit to take the ABFM exam upon completion of residency.
• Demonstrated emphasis in family medicine on the medical school transcript, clinical experiences, and extracurricular activities is required.

Interviews will be conducted from mid-October through the end of December, with specific dates staggered to accommodate applicants 1.

Resident Salary and Benefits

The Utah Valley Family Medicine Residency is competitive in compensation and benefits, providing residents with comprehensive support during their training. The annualized resident stipends for 2024-2025 are:

• PGY1: $71,500
• PGY2: $73,500
