The Henry Ford Health/Henry Ford Hospital Program offers a Surgery Residency training program aimed at cultivating some of the best surgeons in the country. Application details: - Recruitment season typically begins in September and applications are accepted until November 30th. - The program seeks hardworking individuals who actively pursue their education within the program's framework. - USMLE scores higher than 200 are highly desirable. - All applications are evaluated on an individual merit basis. - USMLE Part III passage is required by the end of the second year of training for PGY-1 residents. - The program accepts International Medical Graduates and supports J1 visas.
The program provides a salary competitive with other hospitals in southeastern Michigan and residents receive four weeks of vacation. Research opportunities and fellowships are available but not mandatory. Research residents work under the mentorship of faculty, present their projects, and engage in a broad range of clinical research.
