The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Pathology Residency Training Program, in collaboration with Brigham and Women's Hospital, offers a joint residency training experience affiliated with Harvard Medical School. This new era in training merges the historically separate programs of BWH and MGH to provide a combined training experience starting in July 2023. While awaiting ACGME review for a fully integrated program, applications for the July 2023 start date will go through the BWH application pathway in ERAS. Residents matched into this program will split their time between BWH and MGH, benefiting from fully merged didactics and conferences at both institutions.
The program boasts a high reputation, consistently ranking as one of the top residency programs in the U.S. In July 2019, Doximity ranked the Mass General Pathology Training Program as the #2 program in the country.
