Medical University of South Carolina Program

The Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency Program at the Medical University of South Carolina is a 5-year program designed to train well-rounded vascular surgeons. The program focuses on providing incremental and progressive multidisciplinary training covering core surgery and vascular surgery principles under direct attending supervision. Residents gain clinical experience, training in the management of vascular diseases, participate in conferences and education sessions, and engage in research activities.

Application to the Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency Program at MUSC is through the ERAS system. The program accepts two categorical residents per year and looks for qualities such as publications, test scores, letters of recommendation, and a demonstrated commitment to vascular surgery in selecting applicants for interviews. While elective rotations are not required, interested applicants can arrange clinical rotations at MUSC through the Visiting Student Application Service.
