Nova Southeastern University - College of Osteopathic Medicine (Bay Pines) Program

The Nova Southeastern University - College of Osteopathic Medicine (Bay Pines) Psychiatry Residency Program, coordinated with the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, is an ACGME-accredited program dedicated to excellence in training, patient care, and scholarly work. The program aims to provide diverse clinical training, outstanding didactics, and active learning methodologies covering various aspects of Psychiatry.

Eligibility & Selection: - Applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school (MD or DO). - A valid ECFMG certificate is required for graduates of medical schools outside the US or Canada. - Must pass COMLEX Level 1 and 2/USMLE Step 1 and 2. - Proficiency in the English language is necessary. - Participation in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) is required. - Application through ERAS is mandatory. - Required documents include application form, letters of recommendation, personal statement, etc. - The selection process follows NRMP rules and regulations.

The program focuses on providing evidence-based, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, aiming to equip residents with the knowledge, clinical skills, and expertise needed for modern Psychiatry practice. Residents will participate in supervised clinical experiences, didactics, self-directed learning, and continuous assessment of performance throughout the training period.
