The General Surgery Resident Program at Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis, Oregon is affiliated with Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine Pacific-Northwest. The flagship hospital, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, is a Level-II Trauma Center with advanced facilities including robotic-assisted surgery, a heart and vascular institute, and a comprehensive cancer center in collaboration with Stanford University.
Residents in this program receive training in various specialties including general surgery, gastroenterology, emergency medicine, anesthesia, plastic surgery, medical intensive care, trauma and acute care, bariatrics, vascular, HPB, transplant, burn, and pediatric surgery. They also have the opportunity to rotate at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland.
