The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Pathology Residency Program offers training in anatomic pathology (AP), clinical pathology (CP), combined AP/CP, and combined AP/neuropathology (AP/NP). Residents have access to fellowship and post-doctoral research opportunities and consistently secure desirable jobs in academia, private practice, and industry. The program provides rotations in Autopsy, Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, Neuropathology, Surgical Pathology, and Forensic Pathology.
Application to the UCSF Pathology training program is only accepted through the Association of American Medical Colleges' Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The program requires 3 letters of recommendation, a Dean's letter, and copies of all USMLE exam results. International graduates should visit the ECFMG website for application information. The deadline for ERAS applications is December 1, 2023. A passing score on USMLE Step II (CS and CK) is required for all trainees.
