The University of Cincinnati Medical Center/College of Medicine Program offers a fully ACGME-accredited residency program in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. They accept three new residents annually to maintain a complement of twelve. The program trains residents in all subspecialties within Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, preparing graduates to practice independently in any setting. Residents gain experience providing patient care in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, southeastern Indiana, and northern Kentucky. The curriculum aims to equip residents with the skills needed for academic and community practice.
In addition to the residency program, the Department of Pathology also offers fellowship opportunities, including a GI/Liver Surgical Pathology Fellowship, a Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center, and a Transfusion Medicine Fellowship at Hoxworth Blood Center.
