The University of Cincinnati Medical Center/College of Medicine offers a Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program with a focus on comprehensive and innovative training in a collegial atmosphere. The program aims to provide a strong foundation for residents' careers and fellowships. International Medical Graduates (IMG) are eligible to apply through ERAS and must have completed a US-accredited preliminary training program. The program also accepts DO graduates, with USMLE testing recommended but COMLEX scores accepted. Successful completion of USMLE Step 2 is required before the end of the interview season, and USMLE/COMLEX Step 3 before the start of the PGY-3 year. The program holds virtual interviews and supports J-1 visas. Residents have opportunities for clinical experience with high patient volumes and engage in outreach initiatives. The curriculum includes rotations across various subspecialty areas. Work hours are generally from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and call schedules are managed to maintain a good work-life balance.

For the Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program, residents train alongside Diagnostic Radiology colleagues for the first three years, followed by IR-specific rotations. Residents have exposure to clinical experience through various hospital rotations. IMG applicants follow a similar application process to the Diagnostic Radiology program and are eligible for J-1 visas. The program emphasizes hands-on experience and provides a comprehensive training in both diagnostic and interventional radiology. Residents participate in dedicated IR rotations and are board eligible in both IR and DR upon completion of the program. The program offers support during call shifts and aims to ensure resident wellness. Residents are supported by in-house attendings and reading room assistants during evening and weekend call hours. The interview process is conducted virtually. The program seeks to identify the best candidates and provides an informative and interactive interview experience.
