The Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center is a one-year ACGME-accredited program located in Kansas City. This program is designed to develop future leaders in the field of advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, incorporating comprehensive training in managing complex heart failure patients and the integration of mechanical circulatory support devices such as ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and ventricular assist devices (VADs) through various strategies including bridge to transplant and destination therapy.

To apply, candidates must submit their applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), ensuring all materials, including a CV, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, USMLE transcripts, a photo, and ECFMG certificate for international graduates, are complete by the application deadline.

Typically, applications are accepted starting July 1 and must be completed by August 5 to be considered for review.
