The University of Missouri-Columbia Anesthesiology Residency Program is dedicated to training physicians to become diplomats of the American Board of Anesthesiology. They offer a broad range of routine and challenging clinical cases and provide opportunities in clinical and basic science research for residents. Residents receive three times the required cardiac cases, more than double the required neurosurgical cases, and average over 200 regional blocks during training.
The program accepts five residents each year; three categorical positions starting at the PGY1 level and two physician (R) positions for residents entering at the PGY2 (CA1) level. The application process requires submission through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
