The Anesthesiology Residency Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) is a 4-year categorical program that accepts eight residents each year. Residents have a 1:1 faculty to resident ratio for the first 2 months of the CA-1 year.

The program offers a minimum of four electives in the CA-3 year, with opportunities in research, transesophageal echocardiography, and additional subspecialty rotations. Residents work an average of 55-60 hours per week, with varying call shifts and 21 vacation days per year.
