Program Objectives

The program focuses on providing a comprehensive education in cardiac electrophysiology through a combination of didactic instruction and extensive hands-on experience.

Training Opportunities

Fellows will have the opportunity to train under six board-certified electrophysiologists at a center known for its high procedural volume, performing a full range of electrophysiology procedures. Practical experiences include opportunities to work in the clinic, engage in device interrogation and management, and develop a high level of independence during the fellowship period. Additionally, fellows can participate in outcomes research by collaborating with a world-class cardiovascular outcomes research group that publishes over 180 publications annually.

  • Advanced Facilities: Access to advanced electrophysiology labs with four 3D mapping systems, radiofrequency ablation, and pulsed field ablation techniques for atrial fibrillation.
  • Academic Research Program: A robust academic research program featuring diverse research innovations alongside a dedicated research nursing staff, engaged in more than 15 active EP research investigations.
  • Tertiary Care Facility: Fellows gain experience in a major tertiary care cardiac facility featuring over 40 heart transplants and 20 LVADs performed annually.
  • Broad Clinical Experience: Extensive exposure in the management and ablation of arrhythmias within a complex patient population.
  • Diverse Fellowship Programs: Inclusion in an established fellowship program that encompasses subspecialties in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, heart failure, structural cardiology, and outcomes research.
  • Fellowship Duration: The program’s longevity; established more than 20 years ago, it has a proven track record of excellence.
