The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Program offers a six categorical general surgery positions each academic year. Chief residents perform over 300 major procedures in their final year, with prior residents averaging around 1000 operations and 200-300 first assistant procedures. The program sends initial interview invitations from Thursday, October 26th to October 31st via Thalamus, followed by a waitlist for additional invitations. Interview dates are in November and December of 2023 and January 2024.
