Annually, around 31,000 cases are processed, with a large majority comprising non-gynecological specimens, which is reflective of the diverse pathology caseload at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Requirements: Candidates applying for this fellowship must complete a four-year Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) residency or a three-year AP residency. Candidates are required to hold or be eligible for a Texas medical license and should ensure they review the complete Graduate Medical Education (GME) eligibility requirements prior to applying.

Application Process: The application process includes submission of a CAP standardized application, a statement of intent, current CV (indicating personal contact information and visa status), three letters of recommendation (including one from the current program director), and a letter of good standing from the current residency program director. Candidates must also provide their ECFMG certificate if applicable and evidence of passing the USMLE exams within three attempts.
