City of Hope National Medical Center Program

The Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship offers a two-year program designed to develop future leaders in surgical oncology. They are expected to identify research interests and will undertake specific projects under dedicated mentorship, culminating in at least three to four peer-reviewed manuscripts before program completion. The program also supports research integrity through collaborative assistance from the Department of Biostatistics, alongside optional attendance in the Clinical Investigation Training Program, which presents vital principles and practices in patient-oriented research.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for this fellowship, candidates must successfully complete a general surgery residency accredited by recognized medical professional bodies. Additionally, applicants must be eligible for a California Medical License and be board eligible or certified by the American Board of Surgery at the program's outset. Application submissions are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and include specified documents such as a current curriculum vitae, personal statement, letters of recommendation, medical school transcripts, and board scores.

Visa Sponsorship and Support

The program offers visa sponsorship for international medical graduates (IMGs) who may need assistance to work legally in the United States.
