The program includes a Transitional Year internship to allow for early integration into Beaumont Health.

Residents at Beaumont Royal Oak will experience various call responsibilities including emergency, night float, and weekends. The program requires each resident to complete a research project during their residency, with many ongoing research opportunities available. The facility provides state-of-the-art radiology services and equipment, including MRI, CT scanners, ultrasound units, and fluoroscopy units.

For application, international medical graduates must have ECFMG certification, and the program sponsors H1B or J1 visas. Osteopathic graduates need both USMLE Step 1 and 2 for eligibility. The selection committee reviews applications individually and considers multiple criteria for interview invitations. Upon completion of training requirements, residents are eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology.
