The Radiation Oncology Residency Program at Corewell Health East (Royal Oak), now known as Beaumont, offers a five-year training program for physicians aspiring to specialize in Radiation Oncology. The program aims to provide a structured educational environment to train residents comprehensively for a well-rounded experience.

The program boasts state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology facilities, including the highest patient and treatment volumes in the State of Michigan. With cutting-edge equipment such as Elekta linear accelerators, Elekta Axesse, and a Gamma Knife Center, residents gain exposure to a wide range of radiation modalities. The program encompasses four linear accelerators at the primary institution in Royal Oak, three at Beaumont Hospital - Troy, and three at Beaumont Hospital - Dearborn.

Through clinical teaching conferences, residents engage in discussions covering epidemiology, pathology, treatment planning techniques, and more across various cancer types. Additionally, residents have access to well-developed disease-specific databases for areas like breast, prostate, lung, and head & neck, with opportunities to contribute and develop new databases.

The program prides itself on its faculty, comprising accomplished professionals with diverse expertise across different clinical sites. Faculty members actively engage residents in a mix of clinical practice, teaching, and research to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

Applicants are invited to apply for this prestigious program through ERAS, followed by personal interviews to be conducted between November 1 and January 30 annually.
